Its all very touching regarding Glenn and saying use him sparingly and nurture him alone from the subs bench, pop in on from time to time arr bless his cotton socks.
If i was Glenn and i scored 30 effing goals last year that basically sent Palace up and i look around the place and 60% of the squad are different all on prem wages because of my goals i would want my chance and my just deserves. i want my effing go, get me on that pitch boss. I have done my time I have trained hard to get fit enough to make the bench get me on, there is only a few prem games left. Give me my f--king chance boss.

Some of you would give him the rest of the year off whether he wanted it or not.

Seemingly you would bring him back and risk further injury by over playing him. He will get smaller niggling injuries, there is no doubt of that.

playing him at any stage will risk further injuries, if he's fit enough to make the bench then give him a chance. My point was from Glenn's point of view if i was him and i felt i wanted to play i would tell TP to get me on. I would help him make his mind up. the niggling injuries come with compensating yourself to save the original injury. If you have a focused attitude you will have less compensatory injuries.

Agreed

I'm sure GM will be champing at the bit to play, some players do it by constantly demanding to be included, others let their footy do the talking, I reckon GM falls into the latter category. I agree to a point with your last sentence but as we all know there's nothing that can compensate for playing competitive footy, and that really is the nub of the problem.

I suppose what I and possibly others are trying say to others is; don't expect him to come back all guns blazing, slowly slowly.

Murray is all about service.

Injuries apart, if he is fed he will score. If he isn't then he won't make much on his own. I'm not that bothered about Murray mentally.....He's proven himself strong in that way.

I'm hoping that with a winger line of Ince and Puncheon that goals and opportunities will increase.....We have a chance.

And looking at the run in of games we have......We need more goals to come from somewhere.

I do understand yours and others reasoning, but I think this should be left up to Glenn and Tony not us. Of course I would be mortified if he came on and got injured straight away i'm just playing devils here and from FFS point of view I couldn't wait to come on in front of the Palace faithful in the promised land for which i contributed so much too.

Fvck yeah but we might as well close this site down if that's the attitude we all take

Of course he wants to prove to all and possibly himself he can make the step up, I'm very confident he'll be in the 25.

If Murray can get 30+ goals with Bolasie and Zaha on the wings (who lets face it crossing was their weakness), then it'll be interesting to see what he can do with quality on the wings. Ledley and Ince are both quality wingers and passers of the ball. Puncheon and Bolasie are getting better, I'd definatly say Bolasie is a much improved player from last year.

All in all a very exciting time for us.

I've had a dream Glen Murray scores a penalty in the 85th minute to send Fulham down and keep us up.COYP!!

Or was Puncheon taking it

Murray deserves his chance and I think he can make an impact but it will take him a month to get properly match fit.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

I cant wait to see Muzza back in the red and blue shirt, deserves a chance at prem level seeing as his goals got us here. Hopefully he can come back better than ever .

..if one player deserves to play in this league, it's Murray.

I reckon our new goalie must be able to score from goal kicks. For that price we would want nothing less!.

Great signings yesterday, very happy. The lack of a striker signing makes me feel TP might chance it with Murray. absolutely chuffed with this if he can fit him in the 25 man squad . Deserves his chance.

Good post premier fan was thinking exactly the same thing,i also think TP will chance it with Muzza.

A risk worth taking imho.
