Just a little mention on Joel ward last night and yet again em was solid and played out of his skin!

I thought he was playing well until Paddy came on and Palace went to a back five and the shape of the team didn't look right.

With a back five was he then asked not to play such a defensive roll in midfield? or thought he didn't need to. He did seem to come forward with the ball more.

Then when we went back to a back four he didn't seem to slot back to where he was playing and I'm sure Jedi's dodgy passing wouldn't of helped either.

One thing I've heard several times is players like to know what there roll in the team is and any uncertainty can lead to a player losing form, even if only temporarily.

Anyway, we won and I'm sure any problems will be ironed out by TP.

I believe he is doing a good solid job out of position, but another with his heart on his sleeve.
He was outstanding at right back and we need more creative quality in midfield. A lot will depend on the next few days and if we get injuries.

The two full backs have been fantastic without Joel, who has been a tremendous presence at CM.

He wins the ball and moves it on, and hes not afraid to get stuck in which is quite obviously how TP wants us to set up for most games.

I'd be happy to see him develop there all season. Players evolve with age and Joel will be no exception
