i dont remember seeing him play for blackpool, and obviously not in a palace shirt.
I guess it must say something that he couldnt break into the first team, but is he really that bad?

So what does this mean for wages? Does "mutual consent" mean that we give him a P45 and send him on his way, or does it mean that we pay him off the rest of his contract (at full or reduced rate) AND he is free to find work elsewhere?

We will pay him a % of his wages, over a length of time. So he will still be getting a wage, but less than what we paying him now and can still go find himself another club. Yes free to find another club

I hope this means that Palace are preparing the way for an influx of new players? As for Grandin, he looked pretty decent in preseason, but has disappeared without trace since then. Therefore he was never going to figure in the starting 11 or on the bench, so saying goodbye in this way frees up spaces and wages. Very sensible alround!

For those saying he may have been a decent player, you could be right but it just seemed we were signing players for the hell of it at the last minute and for him not to make the squad just seemed like a pointless exercise. By the same note, if Pulis signs anyone this time around then I'd probably raise an eyebrow if they failed to make the 25 man squad.

Agreed though, it's possibly unfair on the player to be slating him when he wasn't even put in the squad.

EDIT: I am a fool. He was named in the squad. In which case, still a managerial blunder!
