I'm not counting the half hearted statement that Steve Browett came out with on the BBS

What did Steve Browett say ?

There are too many drama queens on this forum.

Newspapers invent stories to sell papers, and it seems that the bigger the lie the more it is believed. Pulis going to Swansea? LOL

Just like in the summer we were always going to struggle to get players in this window because we are still the bookies favourites to go down.

Historically this window also lacks decent players being available and ridiculous prices are wanted for those that are on the lookout.

As usual 90% of the whole transfers will be concluded on the last day.

This thread is 100% spot on.

Quite honestly the hysteria that surrounds the transfer window and this club is well in to the territory of ridiculous.

People's only source of information on supposed "unrest" and "broken promises" are newspapers who just want to sell as many copies as possible.

True but I will continue to believe that there is some truth in the rumours until either Steve Parish or Tony Pulis or preferably both of them come out and issue an emphatic denial and I'm not counting the half hearted statement that Steve Browett came out with on the BBS

No truth in it now then after TP in the SLP.

Some replies from Browett on the BBS "no new signings thread"

1)No fall-out.

2)Re all the other questions, keep the faith and trust us.,

3)(on Pulis) Of course he is frustrated that we have made no signings yet, we all are, but hopefully everyone will be pleased by the end of the week.

A slight consolation is that one new "signing" will be announced today with an old Palace favourite joining the club in a coaching role.

4)Naturally Tony's total focus is on keeping Palace up this season. He would have liked players in at the start of the month who could hit the ground running. Unfortunately that didn't happen but I'm sure that deals will fall into place this week.

Everybody is working hard to ensure that that happens.

5) (about the coach)Yes, a favourite ex player of mine, so I am delighted that Gary Issott has chosen him. Should be announced later today.

Ex Palace and a very experienced coach.

6)Sometimes it does get to the stage where I wish that someone would come in with a load of dosh and I could sneak back to the Arthur Wait.

Right now for example! There are people moaning who are watching Premier League football this season at prices that were amongst the lowest in the Championship, but they expect us to do the same discounts again that we did when we looked, to the outside world, that we were heading for League One. Likewise those who moan that we are not spending money on the type of players who want to earn £3million a year for 4 years.........and why haven't we built a new stadium yet?

All very frustrating. Anyone, it's me who is moaning now so I will shut up.
