Overheard the steward talking to the coach driver about a guy called Robbie, I wasn't close enough to ask so I thought I'd ask on here.Robbie . He worked in ticket office and on coaches. Anyone no how he is, what he's up to, havnt seen him at palace recently and I used to chat to him when I went away regularly

I was out drinking with him and his missus Deb's last week. He does all home games and still goes to the away games but on a private minibus now and has to walk with the aid of a stick but otherwise he is doing okay. I have known Robbie for about 35+ years now, knew his old man too. Edited by Deleagle (26 Jan 2014 12.01pm)

If Robbie's surname is 5 letters beginning with T then say hello to him from me, known him since my late Brother Big Dave ran coach 1 with him in the 70's and 80's, Still remember the bingo and quiz's on those long, long journeys to Darlington, Stockport etc, I new he wasn't working at the club now, But a loyal and big Palace fan.

I was on coach 2 yesterday and heard that conversation. I used to travel on the coaches during the 80's and Robbie was a great guy. He was always helpful in the box office too. Has he left the Box Office?

Top Fella is Robbie, Would often take my tickets on the coach to away games and meet me when I didn't have time to go to the box office in person. A mad Palace Fan and was very good at his job, nothing too much trouble, shame CPFC2010 stitched him up and his loyalty was not rewarded.Whilst CPFC2010 have done a lot of good in some area's they are ruthless when it comes to staff and a pound note.

Know him really well He travels on a mini bus with his wife Debs to all the away games with a fantastic bunch of the most dedicated supporters I have ever come across and from what I have heard they are planning to buy a tour bus when one of them wins the lottery ! Good Luck to them. Wonder if they have room for one more ?
