I think that is 29...

We need to turn over MU because they are s#"t at the moment. We can force a point against Chelsea, because I'd hate the smug blue b******s to get 6 pts off us.

Cardiff, Villa, and WH wins give us momentum but we don't manage to grind down City when they come to SP and park the bus against our newly invigorated strike force.

The Liverpool game will be the loudest game in recorded history, and we will just lose it 3-4 in the 97th min.

Needing at least a point to stay up on the last day we batter Fulham 1-5. Brighton go into administration and the New Den is hit by a meteorite and destroyed.

I think we are going to be o k but will be tight .I think Swansea could be the suprise for the drop .They will have to change there style of play as all very well playing attractive football when mid table and safe but not now, they will start to play for draws now which i predict will be there downfall.

So 50 points will be needed to stay up?

I think we will need around 38 point to survive this year.

This means 18 points needed from the remaining 16 matches.

Group 1: 7 matches: Arsenal, Everton, Chelsea, Man City, New Castle, Liverpool and Man U.

Group 2: Hull (H), WBA(h), Cardiff , Southampton (h), Aston Villa (h), Sunderland , Fulham , West Ham , Swansea .

We should not expect too much from 7 Group 1 matches but that would require us to get 18 points from the 9 Group B matches.

6 wins from 9 sounds like a tall order (5 of these are away) but if we can get 5 winds from Group B and that would leave us to extract 3 points from Group A matches (4 of them are home).

You've completely lost your marbles... We won't need to beat Fulham if we have already acquired 47 points for the season!

15 points I reckon, but can still see us staying up. Think it will be a record low for number of points needed not to get relegated.

36 Points and a minus 30 goal difference will take you down in 17th this year. Thats where my money is anyway.

Don't take this as any kind of recomendation, as my betting record has been dire this season.

would really love to see us beat one of those top teams ;don"t even care which one any one will do,Arsenal,Man U ,Liverpool,Chelsea,

Any of them would be nice but I would absolutely love to beat Utd after the Ashley Young related events that transpired in the last match.

Totally agree Alan.

See you at Wigan!

We're gonna win the cup!
We're gonna win the cup!
And now you're gonna believe us!
We're gonna win the cup!

Love the cup.

Even if we're not safe and in the final we should rest our best players

Can't have the little loves playing 46 games like the Championship.

Except that every position up the table equates to about £1.5M. While I would love to go to another Wembley final, the EPL merit payments may make it economically worthwhile to keep pushing in the league even if we are safe. That is, after all, what they were designed for otherwise mid-table teams with nothing to win or lose would use the rest of the season blooding academy and fringe players.

Also, would you like to have the remaining games of your season ticket and for those who spend a fortune travelling to away games a succession of sacrifical games?

All academic points, of course, as our season will go to the final game. It always does!
