Brighton are definitely the losers.

Poyet had their team punching way above their weight and he will quickly find a better club.

Brighton will struggle to appoint a manager that will match his success and I think a lot of good candidates will know the circumstances of Poyet's departure and not want to deal with their board after this.

I expect Dowie will apply though as it gets him nearer to home using his skewed geographical understanding.

He's better off getting rid.. Can't think why he would want to appeal when he was already talking like he wasn't going to be there for long anyway. Unless the sacking means he ain't getting paid. I think he always thought he was bigger than the club (probably right)..

He should go on holiday with his missus and enjoy the next few months. There will be plenty of jobs going when the season starts and managers start getting sacked.

The weed should appoint Steve McClaren as their manager with Venables as his assistant. That sounds like a successful management team.. from a Palace point of view.
