If you have a minute or two, read my personal story of Palace and how it came to support and suffer with them over the past few years I was at the wembley game as many of you would have been on monday and I still cannot believe what has happened. It was only three years ago after we had just managed to escape relegation after being in administration that me and my mates were so bored in a french lesson in year nine that we decided to start supporting our local club. This was I believe on February 17th on a Thursday. We then went to watch the Palace vs Bristol City match that season in the Croydon Advertiser stand. It was a boring 0-0 draw and so a few of my mates that originally went decided from then not to as much but a few of us stayed and kept going. By the end of the first year it came to that fateful Leeds match which me and one person of our now formed group on facebook " 'Ardcore Palace Fans' " went to. We just managed to get one of the last 100 tickets and whilst booking them saw Scannell score in the 3rd minute I think it was. The box office went mental. The game ended 1-0 to us as you might remember but despite missing the goal the atmosphere was unbelievable. The next year me and my mates went to almost every home game and watched the team grow and become better but still not playing the greatest football. We finished a comfortable 17th after a late season decline. Then came this incredible season. 2012/13. I wen't to that first home game against Watford which in itself was a roller-coaster ride as we lost 3-2 in the ending minutes. I haven't been to many games this year due to personal issues. However I still followed palace avidly and went to the peterborough game again with my fellow 'Ardcore Palace fans' the game was again a roller-coaster ride but when Jedinak made that header. I had goosebumps and instantly decided to go to the Brighton home leg despite being in the middle of exams. (having one that day) I was happy with the draw and the fans were incredible as usual. Watching that second leg at home was magical. Screaming in delight as Jules made that save and Zaha smacked that 2nd goal in. My mate spent countless hours on the phone to buy a junior membership just for the final and then buy the tickets. So after this long post it brings me to the final. Never would I have believed in my wildest dreams from that first game of a 0-0 bore draw that we would be there. In the game against Watford I was so nervous the whole game it made me feel sick for the Eagles. When we got the pen I went freakin' mental but still hid behind my mates shoulder just peaking over on the pen. And what a pen it was! That will forever be etched in my brain and I will never forget. How far the eagles have come in the past three years and Lets all hope we can stay up and make some decent signings next year! Edited by nebblemann (30 May 2013 10.36pm)
