Was 12 years old and my Dad bought season tickets for him and I the newly built AW enclosure for £8/8 shillings and £4/4 shillings respectively!

We got some amazing attendances in our first ever season in the top flight and despite only winning 6 games we just managed to stay up.

I recall that Mel Blythe, who we signed from scunthorpe the previous summer, started the campaign as a left sided mid-field player and later moved to accompany John McCormack in the back four to form a good partnership for a couple of years.

Great times.

A stockbroker urged me to buy a stock that would triple its value every year. I told him, at my age, I don't even buy green bananas!

I remember being in the queue for the old AW enclsoure at 1.30 on that hot summer's day but what a day. As others have said, nearly 49,000 that day. There was an atmosphere when the ground was that full that's difficult to recreate today.

Even though we didn't win, it was a great feeling to have watched us play and match one of the best sides in England, full of household names. Went away very happy

The crowd is outstanding, and especially with the penalty after 44 minutes it was clear when we came out after half-time the welcome would be pretty loud and not too friendly. Crystal Palace wanted to strike back, so that was all clear. This is a wonderful place to play football - Jurgen Klopp

Spider? Those Sunday morning games of footie in Grangewood Park are still legendary in my mind, but it was rare to get a goal past your gangly arms and legs. Say G'day to Treacle. cheers Pow Wow.

We are the goon squad and we're going to town. Beep Beep!
