The atmosphere at that QPR cup match was electric.
I was in the upper tier right at the front and could see the police mullering our fans who wanted to get on the pitch to batter Clive Allen who was being a complete cnut after he scored by dancing a jig in front of us. Someone threw a bottle at him and it just missed his head.... I wouldn't condone it now but back then I wanted it to smash all over his smug stupid face. The pitch was pathetic and definitely favoured them as they were used to it's irregular bounce and could anticipate it better.

Flanagan was a joke. Overweight and useless. I swear he used to play better in the 2nd half at Selhurst as he was running towards the smell of the burger kiosks.

I still despise Venables for his wheeler dealing and the way he handled that situation. He was just as dodgy when he came back and fleeced Goldberg and was a major contributory factor in the near demise of our beloved club.

Wasnt it cracking HH.

I must admit to taking a 'wander' on the pitch at full time

It was even better for the league match.

One of our lot got out and drop kicked Burridge in the back!

I fcuking really hated QPR and Venables (spit!!) back then and I loved it when Spurs beat them in the FA Cup final in 1981.

That was also the one were the police came steaming in and I distinctly remember them withdrawing with al least one of them missing his helmet

Absolutely tiptop Sashy.

I also conned the little kids near the ground who offered to mind my car. I ripped a pound note in half and told them they would get the other half when we got back. They were there waiting and I said give me back your half and I'll stick it together for you............MUGS... I told them you've learned a valuable lesson there lads....don't try and rip off people when you aint got the nouse to carry it off.
