Watching Aston Villa v's West Ham on Saturday the West Ham strip reminded me of the home shirts of the 50's early 60's. White with a Claret and Blue hoop just off centre with the Palace badge in between them and wondered how many of the supporters would suggest going back to that style with the away strip of white with a Red & Blue sash across or using the home strip of today for the away strip.

When I first starting going up to Selhurst we wore the claret shirts and blue sleeves ala WHU,AV and Burnley.We moved on to white shirts with C & B trim,the C & B Johnny Byrne hoop then many other variations of claret and blue until then gradually moving towards Red and Blue.
Whilst I agree with the OP as it goes back to our original colours which is great to see and takes me back to my younger days,I kind of like the red and blue now.Our present colours,and recent combinations of kit,are almost unique to Palace,Dagenham & Redbridge aside,and I am quite happy with our strip now.

However,I think it would be nice in future seasons to go back to past kits and replicate them as our away strips.

The palace strip when I first started supporting them (1959) was the white shirts with a claret & blue hoop, black shorts & black & white stripe socks. As a kid I longed to own one but of course in those days they didn't sell replica shirts, managed to get one about 30 years later and still love it.
