How about this, the season before last at Wolves. We lost 4-0 and I was in Corporate hospitalty with business people who were all Wolves sponsors. We were rubbish and it was very embarrasing. BUT, it was consoling to hear our loyal supporters on the far side of the ground, singing right to the end.

Oh how many to choose from. I saw us loose 3 - 0 at Grimthorpe. A season or 2 later we lost 0 - 3 I was standing in the sainsbury end. I've been in that cursed stand only twice in my life. The other was 0 - 1 against Barnsley when Redfearn scored. Never again will I go in the Whitehorse! Carlisle at home in the 80's was pretty bad too, and that Port Vale. Venners was a right prick. Seeing "Son of Aylott" reminded me of Trev and the boys losing 5 - 0 at Oxford. I've seen some bad ones over the years (5-0 at home to Wimbledon, 5-0 at Forest, 3-1 at Br*ghton amongst others), but Oxford takes the biscuit. What a sh*t day that was. Treated like poo by the local Gendames, escorted to the ground from the station in the pooring rain. Tried to jump in a pub and was dragged back by plod. Endured the worst display I think I've ever seen by a Palace XI. Even the Oxford full back that day (Bobby Macdonald I think) scored 2 and should have had a hatful. Made to stand in the rain on the open terrace for an age at the end. Got to the station only to have a 2 hour wait because of engineering works.

Preston away a few seasons ago when we lost 2-0 and Smith was manager. Never been so bored and frustrated at a Palace game. It was as if we traveld up the country to watch Palace actually intend to just stand there and see how many Preston could score against a motionless team for fun. I threw my meat pie tray at Smith at the end cause thats when i had finally accpetesd that the man was a toss pot. Couldnt care less now however and hope he's doing ok for himself.

Apart from the 90 cup final replay, the worst game at home in recent years was against Coventry one Boxing Day,no roof on the Sainsburys, pissing down with sleet and hail and we lose 1-0 to a Brian Kilcline free kick.

Any and every gillingham away game. Most seem to be in the middle of winter on bloody cold days and we always seem to end up losing to them. That and the newcastle away game last season, the geordies spent most of the game making paper airplanes and throwing them at the stewards - not a very entertaining affair really.

too many to list them all here, but worst season ever was the 97/98 premiership season. So much dross... the worst actual game i have ever seen has to be the reading 0-1 at home under francis. indescribably poor.

Too mnay to choose from but anything from the early eighties in those very very dark days, eg - watching Palace lose at home on a wintery Saturday to Carlisle with less than 5,000 fans. Now those were sad days, sad matches & terrible memories. How times have changed thank goodness.

That is deffinatly the worst I have seen under ID, however sunderland was bad in the cup lst year. Sunderland in the cup last year was the worst game Iv'e seen for a long time and certainly our worst performance under Dowie. The 3-1 loss to Crewe at home under Kember a couple of seasons back was a real low aswell
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |
