There isn't set rules, but it would be nice for this thread to keep its integrity and status as one of the most touching threads on HOL for a long time (certainly during my time on here). It is a valid question, but one which will potentially ruin the thread and turn into another petty argument, as it did in earlier pages...

Well said Danger, I agree.

A very vocal, very public and unconditional condemnation of today's events would certainly help.

You've had it.

Quote Sir Iqbal Sacranie of the Muslim Council of Britain said he utterly condemned the attacks.

"We are simply appalled and want to express our deepest condolences to the families.

"These terrorists, these evil peoplewant to demoralise us as a nation and divide us.

"All of must unite in helping the police to hunt these murderers down."

Wrong thread, Pete.

Why's that, then?

Can we not go down this route again in this thread please...

It's a valid point. Why is it the wrong thread? I wasn't aware of there being any pre-set rules about which way this thread goes.

Good. I get the impression that some people thought that I didn't expect such a statement.

Let's now see words converted into action - I hope that whoever is harbouring the people who planned all this gives them up to the police.

What a scary day. I know a few people that work up in town who take that tube at that time of day. Thankfully they are on Holiday this week.

My thoughts go out to everyone that has been affected by this. For those that are stuck in town, i hope you find a safe way to get home tonight.

I was told to stay in the building for safety this lunchtime in Croydon. Scary when i work just minutes within East Croydon station/Wellsley Road etc.

Lets just hope that we can all lend support into showing these ''People'' that London and Britian will not be set back by this.

I assume they CAN get out but that it would be a mission for them to get home with limited public transport.

Pikey will be OK, he's used to sleeping rough.
