So sad that he died this way, but my thoughts are with the train driver who didn't get the choice.

Had a friend who was a train driver and had this happened to her.

They're rarely thought of in these circumstances but it had a devastating impact upon them.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Yup a friend's dad was a train driver, ruined his life, he could never forget the face of the person as they went under his wheels.

In my case, she explained to me that most people 'jump' in front, this happened to her, so she saw the fella at eye level before he went.

She never got over it.

Statistically, suicide is a whopper, especially for men. And it seems to peak for young men , and then again after age 50.

I have known a few. It always devastates a family. And seems to come totally our of the blue. There also seems to be a genetic link to killing yourself.

RIP

I walk over the tramlink rails every day and I often think God that's one thing I could never do.

Just the thought of it sends a shiver.

I walked on further the other day to Mitcham Common and a teenager hads drowned himself in about 18" of water in the lake.

I had better vary my excursions.

Suicide and the circumstances that take someone there are just awful.
In this case - as others have said - I feel so sorry for the Train Driver.
They can tell themselves that it isn't their fault - and it isn't but it must be bloody awful for them
