You might also want to add: The profit on a player sold is never anything like what people like to think it is.

On my local news, which covers Reading FC, they said RFC were "believed to be entitled to 10% of the profit...if true, this could be a windfall of over £4million. If correct, that seems to agree with: 10% of (£50m - £8m) = £4.2m. But then 10% of (£58m - £8m) = £5m, so that could be right too! However, £8m to Reading does appear to be too high. But as with all these things, fans aren rarely given the precise details.
