Offshore Wind Farms....Hellish or What?

The other factor to all of this, be it solar or wind - the power has to be got from source to distribution. Pylons, excavation, cabling, batteries and much more. Like the diesel car cone and now the EV con this stuff is just not nearly as green as the preachers and scaremongerers would have us believe. I even heard a Lady yesterday saying that no fossil fuels are used in the creation or maintainance of a wind turbine. The interviewer disagreed and gave her examples - she just told him that he was completely wrong - end of preacher's story.

I did not get an EV to be green cos it's not , I got one because the Govt here gave me nearly half the cost of a new EV as a reward for scrapping a 12 year old Toyota Camry. The second hand value was @ GBP 2000, I received a subsidy of GBP 28,000 towards a new Polestar 2. Road tax is 80% less per year, running cost much less etc and a very nice car with lots of bells and whistles. Road tax is 80% less per year, running cost much less etc and a very nice car with lots of bells and whistles.

There are no long car journeys here so its a win win
