Would be amazed if Southampton offered £12m. If so, we should accept that.

To me he looks well short of Premier League quality. The best we can hope for is a full season on loan in the Championship with game time to see if he can cut the mustard. If he can, fantastic. He needs to earn his place in the team. Promoting good championship players has worked well for us in recent years.

Well, he would do, only having 10 apps in 3 years whilst being in the U18's & U21's.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Well, yes. Hence why we should take £12m if offered as he doesn't appear good enough. If he was, he'd have played more.

Err, you do realise he also spent a whole season on loan to give him better experience, so no, i don't think the club should accept any permanent offer, yet.

I think it's too early to sell Rak Sakyi, I have my doubts but I think a year in the championship and we will know.

As somebody else said it's unlikely Southampton have offered £12m
without any performance clauses. So even if he fails in the loan his value wont drop that much.

On the other hand if he comes back PL oven ready we could be looking at big money.

Find him a decent championship club that has a similar style to ours and let's see.

Injured for large part of last season and never given an opportunity under Roy.
Did stunningly well at Charlton and a loan to a top Championship team will give us an opportunity to analyse his performances, rather than an unnecessary sale.

Agreed. There is a very good reason why he's only had 10 PL games in 3 years:
- 1st year: he wasn't ready
. 2nd year: he had his very successful loan at Charlton where despite being our player he won their player of the season award
- 3rd year: Roy wouldn't let him go on loan because of the Olise injury but then wouldn't give JRS meaningful game time. JRS was then injured for a large part of the season.
JRS showed in his brief cameo against Charlton last week that he can make a difference. I think he still needs more self-confidence and a loan to a good Championship club should enable him to attain that and come back ready for some serious first team action with us.

Let's not forget he's still only 21 so IMO far too early to write him off.

He’s one of those players who if we sold we’d regret the decision when he gets better and better.

I’d loan him out for another year to a team like QPR or West Brom. I know it’s a bit of a luxury but it’s not as if we’re short of cash at the moment I think it will pay off in the near future.

Sky reporting he wants to leave, the saints are willing to increase offer as he is keen to play under Martin?

I think a £12m deal plus a percentage sell on and it'd be good business for where he is currently. True he could have a brilliant season at Saints but equally he might not, especially when you consider they are likely to be amongst the relegation candidates.

the biggest thing I always noticed was Olise and Jes are the same age and were miles apart in quality.

10+ mill for someone whose only ever really played at League One level .

Shame for Jes, injuries last season did no favours.

Of course if goes to Southampton and scores double figures and is a superstar, we should exercise a buy back clause.

Personally would rather him go on loan for a season in the championship and potentially drive up his value or come back a better player (philogene at Villa is a prime example of this they got him back)

It would be no surprise if he wanted to leave. He should want to play at a good level. As things stand his opportunities are still limited at Palace. The same thing applied to O’Brian,. If Southampton, offer more game time than he is getting ,maybe more money, why would he not be up for it?
A loan would suit Palace, but if that’s enough for the player, could be the biggest question here.

I think he only wants to leave because Southampton are offering a season in the Premier League whereas Glasner has probably already told him the most he can currently hope for at Palace is a place on the bench.
Southampton are said to either want to buy him or a season long loan with an option to buy (fee agreed now)
For me thats just stupid business. We could agree to £10m and then he tears it up this season and we end up losing him for a lot less than we could get. I think we have nothing to lose by letting him go on a season long loan and even give Southampton an option to buy at the end BUT we decide how much we want for him at the end of the season based on his performances for them on loan. They'll try and argue its their coaches who have improved him. Palace will argue back we dont really care. He's our player we'll charge what we want.
