Click bate is full of discussion about him being allowed to leave on Loan. Most of championship seem interested plus Southampton. There are rumours we have turned down later who wanted to include option to buy.
I wonder if we can learn from other sides like Chelsea villa etc. Loan him fee 4 million with obligation to buy at 35 million if they are not relegated next season. Sell on clause of 20% and right to match any offers and a relegation clause for 5 years after sale. What do people think?

I think that will ensure that no-one bothers and he won't get the experience that we want for him

35 million?? He’s really not as good as that, the fact that he made his debut for us 3 years ago and has had no impact in our first team should tell you that. Other clubs are fine with taking him for a season with no major commitment, but as midland said, they won’t exactly be queuing up with the sort of money you’re talking about. They might give us your 4 million for a permanent transfer, and even that would be pushing it for a player with hardly any first team experience

One thing is for sure is he needs regular football as his development has stalled a little. Wherever he goes the best place will be a fine balance between guaranteed regular playing time and playing at the highest level possible. I imagine this will end up being to a championship side. As for setting a high fee for obligation to buy, feels unfortunately fanciful for a player who has produced one good season in League 1 two years ago.

He needs game time at a higher level than Charlton. Had to be Championship ideally to a team that plays attacking football with a high press and has an experienced coach who can improve his game. I don’t watch enough Championship football to know who that might be but Farke at Leeds or Wilder at Sheffield United seem reasonable options.

Southampton have offered 7 million, i'd say hes worth atleast 20 but saying that his goal against charlton was top draw so maybe give him a chance in the first team? could save us a lot of money

The fact that Glasner barely played JRS once he was fit again suggests he's not shown enough in training to convince him, but the cameo against Charlton may have caught his attention. The issue is that as it stands we haven't replaced Olise, and until we do can the club risk letting JRS leave, even on a loan? The idea of us kicking off the season with Schlupp on the right fills me with dread. Ideally, we get in one or two additions to fill Olise's boots and then find the best loan possible for JRS to develop.

We can play him in the Carabao cup before the window closes.

If he looks good keep him for the bench.

Leeds are in for a loan as well.

Don't sell as once he fills out he will be a real talent.

Ayew plays right & Schlupp left. Tho they did swap for the Charlton game, why, only OG knows. Perhaps he was wanting to see if JS can play like MO & cut inside onto his left foot.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

The Guardian report that Southampton have made a £12m bid for Rak-Sakyi - but Palace only want a loan out

underneath the worrying main story about Eze and Man City

Would be amazed if Southampton offered £12m. If so, we should accept that.

To me he looks well short of Premier League quality. The best we can hope for is a full season on loan in the Championship with game time to see if he can cut the mustard. If he can, fantastic. He needs to earn his place in the team. Promoting good championship players has worked well for us in recent years.

i'd have to agree. I like him, but not sure he is Prem ready.

£12m for an untried talent is reasonable business.

My slight concern is that the £12m no doubt includes potential add on, so is probably £6m upfront, £3m with appearances and maybe £3m if Southampton stay up.
