I think he's a decent player but not convinced enough by him that we should fork out a sizeable fee. Missed a lot of games through injury and when fit not been good enough to start, and this is never a good sign during key years of his development. Plus potential talent from a "big club" is always way over priced. Think there's better options out there tbh.

Agree 100%. A good player but not at £30m. Injury record is also a big concern

Too right they are.

According to bbc/Sky & a lot of click-bait, only Fulham have put a bid for him.

Loan, with option to buy, or after OG magic a buyback option (say £10M) for Arsenal to pay reflecting the increase in his value while at Selhurst Park.

Possible figures
Loan £6M
buy at end of loan £15M
buyback at end of loan £10m.

Is this on the table Heath or your thoughts? Like it either way.

Happily second that.

I like him and would have no qualms with his arrival but I wouldn't see him as getting into let alone boosting our first team.

A decent squad player with a dubious injury record, for £30mil+? It's a no from me.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

This is a classic example of big club over-valuation. If this player is correctly valued at £35m, then Michael Olise was the Billy Bargain of the century.

And then there's the "cash in pocket' phenomenon i.e clubs know we have cash to spend ergo their sale prices go up accordingly.

Agree. Always remember Brewster , the Liverpool striker, going to Sheff Utd for £23m about 4 years ago and thinking that was a big premium for as player who never kicked a ball in the Prem.
4 years later he's scored 4 goals in 70 appearances. Prices have risen by about 50% since then so that's c£35m at today's prices.

We've got Shrek, Beverly Hills Cop, Gladiator etc coming back to life, so how about a Brewster's (way too many) Millions sequel?

Apropos Brewster I understand that in addition to the £23.5 Mill fee there was a 15% sell-on clause and a buy-back option for 3 years. At the Chelsea academy, Brewster, Gallagher and Guehi were very good chums.
