Imo he should walk. Keep his 'England's most successful manager' moniker intact and in years to come still be viewed in what I imagine would be a fairly positive way. If he stays and we serve up more of ther absolute dross that we put on show against Slovenia,Slovakia etc then he'll get slaughtered and that's all he'll be remembered for. We were so fortunate not to get knocked out by Slovakia, had we of done it might even have surpassed the embarrassment of Roy's Icelandic nightmare. Edited by samprior (15 Jul 2024 7.09pm)

The change in ownership structure at NUFC (Amanda Staveley & Merhad Ghodoussi out the door) would indicate that PIF want more say in future decisions & direction - Obviously it remains to be seen what shape any future decisions take but to me it kind of feels a bit like someone releasing the PSR handbrake a couple of clicks - Howe may become available sooner than would otherwise be anticipated.

Time to go, like Roy with us, did a good job, but you can only go so far playing like that and then it just becomes tedious game after game, especially when it’s not working anymore.
