Watching England it doesn’t seem likely, but boring has won this competition on a few occasions. What happens to Southgate if that should happen.?

Correct, Portugal 2016, Greece 2004 just off the top of my head

Including Wharton in the squad was a master stroke. He gets to train every day without playing a game, keeping him fit for the start of the season and preventing him going on the p**s with his mates in Ibiza. Should come back fit, rested and raring to go. A bit concerned about Guehi though, but if they continue to play as they have been he should be home soon.

Several articles recalling the U-17 England triumph over Spain in 2017. Guehi was a regular and scored in the final.

It was a reminder that Palace's Nya Kirby also featured in the final but his career trajectory was very different. After being released by Palace, he was out of the game for a year and now plays in the sixth tier, at Oxford City

Read a few articles about Wharton . He doesn’t go out . Said that’s what you need to do to be a professional footballer. Sounds like a great pro, but a boring mate.

The worst thing that could have happened for Palace is for Wharton to have been a star of the tournament.

well he'll be the only outfield player who doesn't get a run out unless there's a last minute outbreak of food poisoning or something similar

Dunk hasn't played either.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.
