Can anyone really believe just how good and how sought after our little south London team are.

2 England international keepers
World class centre back (s)
World class right wing back
A left wing back that every tv pundit and Talksport presenter has wondererd how he never went to the Euros.
A crazy talent (Wharton) in the centre of the park alongside a choice of Colombian or Malian warrior. Plus some exciting back up.
An unplayable French kid and another outstanding England international free spirit who glides around like he’s floating and a born again front man who couldn’t stop scoring.

Not to mention a world class manager who wants to attack non stop.

I know some look to be going but right now… what a team we have.

Remarkable, given that virtually the same team were flirting with relegation before the appointment of a modern Manager with a winning mentality.

Agreed. The same, I think could be levelled at England.

Let's hope we still have them all in August.

The phrase "He's just too good for you" springs to mind.

Possible moves away

Michael to Bayern
Marc to Real Madrid.
No one - as far as we know going to a Premier League Club.

I'm feeling very positive for the new season. A decent manager who is not overly cautious and sets us up to play entertaining football.

Errr...we needed just 3 more points to be safe when Roy stepped down. But yes, a remarkable turnaround in style and outlook. Two January signings and two significant returns from injury also helped matters.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Also that last seven games we played teams who were running on empty and were looking jaded after long seasons with European football and cup runs, just at a time when we were revitalised. So anyone who thinks we’re going to start next season how we finished last season is off with the fairies

There's an answer there . . .

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Last 7 games included Liverpool going for the treble, West Ham playing for a place in Europe, and Man U trying to reach the Champions League. Admittedly Aston Villa were on the beach.

Going into that run, we had had one win under Glasner and that was against a Burnley team that didn't turn up and was reduced to 10 men very early. At that time we had had the easy run - Luton, Forest and Bournemouth - and were wonderin where even 4 or 5 points would come from let alone 19
