It's very different. What was in place was that a President could not be prosecuted for any official act. Something done on behalf of the State. Not him personally. The SC has now redefined that to include acts previously considered as part of campaigning and gone further by banning all and every document and electronic record of both Trump and his advisers from being used in evidence. This alone means that presenting any kind of evidence, no matter how obvious a crime has occurred as almost impossible It must surely be obvious to the most devoted Trump supporter that continuing to suggest there has been election fraud when the results have all been certified, many by Republican officers, and every court challenge has been thrown out as spurious, even by Judges perceived as conservative is a personal act. Not one by a President. To then phone a Governor and ask him to "find" some votes tops even that. For the SC to throw spanners into the mechanism whereby this man is brought before a court and these allegations tested is political interference of the worst kind.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

If the answer is no, then it is fair to assume this is all just bs. Widely believed bs is still bs.

It must be recognised and reversed or the consequences could be civil war. The uk has 100 s of old laws which could still be used as they are still available.

Sleepy Joe at it again. From the BBC ""President Joe Biden has blamed his poor debate performance last week on jet lag, telling reporters that he "wasn't very smart" for "travelling around the world a couple of times" before the debate. " The problem is Joe that you were back in the USA two weeks before the debate and spent the previous week at Camp David* prepping. Now I grant you that jet lag takes time to get over but if it really means you haven't recovered after 2 weeks then this just asks more questions about your health. You also flew Airforce One the Presidential jet that comes with beds. It's not like you caught the red eye and flew economy the night before. *Camp David is used as a country retreat by US Presidents who go there to relax. Edited by Badger11 (03 Jul 2024 7.16am)

Wisbech You have defended Biden and blasted Trump at every turn and seem to be unable to judge ‘your man’ Biden objectively due to your loathing of Trump. This is political tribalism at its worst and I would expect more from an intelligent chap like you. I also loathe Trump but that doesn’t mean I have to blindly cheer on a man who has been suffering from serious mental decline for at least a couple of years and is highly likely to be charged with serious bribery & corruption in due course. Please open your eyes and don’t just see what you want to see.
