I think there's a little more to it than "can't meet his wages" If his wages are a problem then why did they sign him? If he comes back he'd suit one of the newly promoted sides however they all look much better than last year's three.

Im afraid its a no from me. Time has moved on and we have a good settled (and dare I say happy) squad now and I think Wilf would unsettle the players who now see themselves as settled new guys. Even on low wages Id still say no. Time to build for the future.

If the story has any credence, it looks like a Saudi deal to me. I wouldn't have him back on such ridiculous money, but a one or two year deal on sensible wages would be ok, but unlikely to happen. Makes you wonder if we offered 4 years last year, why not offer 3 now - well I know the answer to that, but football is a crazy world.

Exactly this......Wilf has gone, he was great while he was here but that was in the past....just keep the good memories, not watching him deteriorate as he ages.....hes already lost pace....so its a no from me!!!
