Heart attack, stroke, diabetic hypo. There are plenty of possible scenarios

The fact the driver is already facing charges, would suggest it's not a medical incident

Everyone knows 4x4 drivers are c-units behind the wheel and can't park properly

I drive an Alto. Me trying to park one of them would be like landing Apollo 9 on the Moon.

Driver had a “seizure” at the wheel and therefore no charges to be brought…

I find it terribly sad that the parents cannot accept the evidence of specialists who confirm that this was a first time, unpredictable medical episode for the driver, but expect her to be punished for something she had no knowledge of or control over.

I suppose it's the usual 'somebody has to be to blame' by people who can't cope without it.

Hopefully, the inquests will help to bring them closure.

My thoughts entirely. Unless they have evidence to the contrary this was an awful unforeseen accident, she will automatically lose her licence and will have to re-apply for it assuming she even wants to drive.

Bad stuff does happen to good people.

I was staggered when I heard this on last night's news. And then the BBC gave the parents' lawyer air time to say it all over again.
