Have we actually offered him a new contract yet?

I'm sure his agent is very keen to move him on, but does he really want to move to a crap league?

We'll see.

Click-bait have been doing all they can to sell our players & have got this one wrong(allegedly). Time for JRS & Franca to shine.

This does sound definite, but until the player signs a contract with another club, he's still a Palace player. Olise now has some really good options in front of him, but who knows, if some exciting players come in, maybe he'll decide to stay....or maybe not, let's see

Is that the "crap" league that got the extra CL place ahead of the PL and which provided 2 of the CL semi-finalists and one of the finalists - not to mention one of the Europa League finalists?

I said it before, Olise was smart. The release clause allowed him to get the best salary he could. It took the power out of the teams hands and put it in his.

55 million was able to be met by multiple teams, so he was able to pick the team which offered him the most money. We can’t afford to pay someone 220,000 a week, but Bayern can.

You can’t blame someone for going to another club when their salary more than doubles.

I wish him the best, and like Zaha, will be rooting for him when I watch Champions League matches. I also hope that the money we made is spent wisely.

If that is the kind of logic that you think Olise will be thinking about.
Like everyone else, I don't know what is really happening, but if I was Olise, I would be showing interest in the club that offered then most wages.
That way he either moves on or gets a bigger pay rise at Palace.

It may all come down to how much we can afford to pay him.

Who knows where we are really at. Ornstein is just reporting what some parties involved want everyone to know.

The first game for France at the Olympics is 24 July. If it is going to happen, Im sure it will have been done before then.

The Telegraph suggests that the deal with Bayern is there in principle, but ‘it remains to be seen whether they can get it over the line.’
It reminds me of last season when he had all but ‘signed for Chelsea’, only for him to sign a ‘long term( what a joke!)’ bumper new deal with Palace.

Could it be a case of rinse and repeat?

Personally I could do without this circus every window and don’t mind if he goes.
Great player though Olise is, I’d take the likes of Ward every time - a player who is committed to the club and understands the concept of loyalty.

The long term deal he signed last year got us another season of him and an extra £20-25m on top of what we would've got if he'd gone Chelsea last year.

Know what you mean there Jamie , they had him signed sealed and delivered to Chelsea last season and then next thing you know he turns up with Steve P signing a new contract. If he is going ( and in my opinion i dont belive he will) the sooner the better so it doesn't become another Wilf will he wont he saga , and plan for the future without him . So far I've seen him photo shopped in a Chelsea shirt a United shirt a Munich shirt and a Sandcastle shirt oh and a Palace shirt . If you belive all the fake news out there we will be lucky to have a squad for the start of the season .

Look at the end of the of the day whilst he is a very good player , his fitness/injury record is very poor. Given that he will be playing champions league as well as the domestic league and any other cups , i would be amazed if he is an ever present for them. For me i would take the 60 Million wish him all the best and wait for the first time he breaks down. His fleeting appearances for us were great but unfortunately that is all we had , a season needs people around for 38 games not 15-20

Also if he does go to Germany dont be surprised to see him withdraw from the Olympic squad , that maybe a stipulation that Munich make

In all probability he will go. But he's quite an introverted guy, he's made friends and bonded well with the club, Glasner and his team mates. That's an awful lot to give up, I would definitely stay, but I'm not 22 with the world at my feet, quite the opposite in fact!
