Yep, looks genuine. Better he goes there rather than to a Premier League rival. I assume the sale is for £100,000,000 plus….

Doesn't help us, does it. I'll be gutted.

We will never be a 'big club' if we don't keep our quality players.

Why do I bother?

It is of course 'gutting' Hrolf, I'll join you there (on the assumption it's true/plays out as such).

However, I would suggest that we'll highly unlikely ever be a 'big club' but quite possibly a 'bigger club' if we continue to sell players for big money/profit, keeping finding good'uns to bring into the team and keep a hold of our current manager.

Would love MO to stay however I wouldn't swap him staying for the OG leaving. We got MO as his sights were set higher than Reading, he'll leave in similar fashion. Best of luck to him, onwards and upwards for us.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Absolutely. If the report is correct he’s decided Bayern is the smart choice. Of course Bayern have to meet the release clause and Parish can insist on all of it up front if he wants to play hard ball. If there’s a plus side for us it’s that we won’t have to play against him until we qualify for the Champions League.

I would suggest that we had already anticipated the possible/probable departure of both Olise and Guehi by purchasing Ryad and hopefully Kamada. It isn't the end of the world if both turn out as useful as they seem, and we end up financially in a better position to strengthen other positions.

I'm very much inclined to agree.

I dunno. Think we have a long term chance of becoming a big club. South London deserves one, needs one….no I don’t include the Chelsea post code.

Professional Football is still young. 150/180 years? Who knows how the landscape will be in many years to come. Look where Preston NE are now and where they used to be etc. things change.

Well probably become relentless prem league winners in 300 years time when most have moved on to spending their spare time experiencing futuristic VR worlds or space travel though eh

It's great thinking and I'm on board.

Perhaps they'll find this forum in some sort of internet/information archaeological exercise 300 years in the future and ressurrect us all to enjoy those years... once they've successfully deciphered Willo's posts.

I like everyone will be gutted if he goes. There is certainly justification for him to stay one more season with us, we are an exciting prospect.

On another note, it’s better than losing him for £35m last summer.

We are in a healthier place this season.

The money will help us bring in more quality in multiple positions

We don’t have to see him playing in a Chelsea shirt

Bayern are a massive club in a great city, I don’t blame him.

Let’s see what happens, according to the media he has joined 3 or 4 clubs which can’t be legal, he will be exhausted.

Eze will possibly want out now and Guehi is best sold if not signing a new deal. Hope mateta stays and we unearth more gems

Although a great player I’m ambivalent about him going if it’s true.

In terms of replacing the stars touted as leaving, Guehi and Olise would be a lot easier to replace than Eze and Wharton, purely because of the positions that the latter play and the significance of those positions to our current tactics.

There are plenty of decent wingers and centre backs out there and I’m sure we could replace both with quality players with the money from just one of the sales meaning a big old surplus to strengthen the squad elsewhere.

I'm not so sure Eze will go. In fact his experience at these Euros may well help him decide that he should stay at least for another season. It's key to keep Wharton and what will be interesting is to see how Doucouré performs on his return. He seemed to want away just before his injury, but will now have to prove himself again.

Should be a very interesting and entertaining season whichever way it goes.

how much are we thinking he will go for? if the release clause was £60 million, could we get more if chelsea and bayern were in a bidding war before chelsea pulled out? could bayern be paying £70 million?
