The Conservative-Labour crossover age is now 71 years old according to Deltapoll, compared with 40 years old in 2019. The Tories are now the 5th most popular party amongst under-50s according to YouGov, with Labour, Lib Dems, Greens and Reform all ahead. You have to go up to over-70s before you find an age group who are more likely to vote Tory than Labour.

What do Farage, The Archbishop of Canterbury, Suella Braverman and Gordon Brown, unlikely allies, have in common? They all oppose the 2 child benefit cap. Introduced in 2017 by the conservatives, it has been widely slated as driving children into poverty. with all the inevitable consequences on society, like austerity policies it is for short-term gain but has long-term consequences. Labour are not going to reverse, as yet, this immoral and ultimately costly cap. Shame on them.

I agree with the principle, but I'm puzzled by the number. At a time when we need more children, discouraging more than two seems very odd. Three or even four would have been a little better. That said, why should the taxpayer support irresponsible parents? No one who needs child support should be having more than four kids. That's being very generous.

It's used as a perjorative to infer some kind of dark sinister power. Like calling someone a fascist or a banker. It's used by the establishment for anyone who might disrupt the status quo and cosy vested interests
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

The youth vote is turning right on the continent as the left and centre have been in power there. However, it's not really about mainstream left or right....either of them can satisfy their populations because the economics are truly fecked any which way. However, no one will be honest with them.

No, that's only the 3rd - 9th children that are being deprived of a payment...... in this day and age no-one should really be having more that 2 unless THEY can afford them.

It's a euphemism used by people who make policies to please banks, multi nationals and other assorted globalists rather than the people who actually voted for them.

Let me get this right... There is a two child benefit cap. With a weekly rate of 26.60 But if you are an immigrant You’ll usually get £49.18 for each person in your household. My opinion is get rid of the two child benefit cap and also get rid of the immigrants.
