Quite a few sites carried the story that Guehi wasn't going to sign a new contract, when he actually made that statement (if at all) seems to be less clear, quite a lot changed whilst he was out injured & the club is in a much better place today than it was say 4 months ago - Maybe in the current climate there is more hope that the situation can be revisited & a deal can be reached.

We performed excellently without him during our late run. In other words, we can probably afford to let him go, replace him with Riad and use the extra money to strengthen the squad. That's the whole point of the strategy of buying young players, improving them and selling some for a handsome profit. The key is knowing which ones to sell and which to keep. IMHO Guehi is the one we can most afford to let go.

Agreed. I would love Guehi to stay but unlike Eze and Olise he is not a game changer just a very very good defender.

I honestly believe our best 11, fully fit, is the best team bar none in the division. Which isn't to say we will win the league or qualify for the Champions League because that would require insane luck with injuries.

But if we strengthen this summer, then the sky may be the limit.

The entire staff need to be got together by Harris (not Parish, not Textor) and told this. He's the real money man here.

Do we actually have to sell anyone? I don't think we do. If they all get told we are going for it, maybe we have a historic achievement to tell our grandchildren about.

Footballers are in it for a combination of money and achievement. We can deliver them both.

Love the optimisn but a bit OTT here. Do we have a single player who is the best in the division in their position?

What we do have is a very, very good first XI who, when fit, can beat anyone on their day. If we could keep them all at the club, improve the squad depth and have a fortunate season with injuries, we could definitely push for a European spot.

However, lots of ifs there and just because we're being linked with some good transfers early, doesn't mean the rest of the division will stand still.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

Very unlikely. But a good team will be greater than the sum of its parts.

I just cant bloody wait for next season to start!

Me too Mr Robbo. Even with the Euros and Olympics this summer is really going to drag.

I don't want to jinx it too much but next season could be really special!

We have the best player in the world. His name is Michael Olise. You all can't see what is right in front of your eyes because he plays for us. Two full seasons and it will be blindingly obvious.

And the supporting cast is very very tidy. Just look at his stats, having probably been truly fully match fit for about 4 games all season.

Wharton's intensity will go up a notch next year with experience and just physical maturing. He'll add goals.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Once Glasner got the team fit and playing to his system it became unbelievable how good we actually are. I know many people who support other teams who are betting big on us next season and some even saying this has got Leicester written all over it.
