Friend of mine at senior school aged 12 broke his jaw and bit through his tongue by jumping to high on the school trampoline by not coordinating his bouncing in time properly.

As he was bouncing away getting higher he suddenly landed off center, folded up and his knees smashed up under his chin and he wasn't a very happy bunny at all!
Had to have his tongue stitched back together, jaw reset and wired up. Couldn't speak very clearly and had to have any drinks and liquid food through a straw for ages.
Suppose it stopped him being picked on by teachers to answer questions in class though!

last time I went they were still selling Gollys on the sea front & I saw a large group of naked men get off a bus and conga down the sea front.
