Seeing the Derby connection in the latest rumour in Transfer talk (re Brown) reminds me I have been meaning to ask about the two lads we picked up from Derby, Ebiowei and Plange. Both out on loan last season I think (?) but neither tore up any trees as far as know and both are presumably back now. Both have shown flashes when I’ve (briefly) seen them but no sign that either will actually make it with us. Anyone know what the position is with them?

Also what about the young Irish lad (or was he N Irish?). I can't even remember his name. Where is he at?

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Plange is at HJK Helsinki, I think they’re about a third of the way through the season and he’s got a couple of goals.

Would that be Kofi Balmer? He and John-Kymani Gordon have both come back from loan periods at Wimbledon.

Or does he mean Umeh, tho I don't think he went out on loan.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Possibly he means Killian Phillips - had a good season at Shrewsbury last year but lost track of what he got up to on loan at Wycombe and I think Aberdeen this year

Neither Plange or Ebiowei have pulled up any trees across a number of loans now.

Ebiowei was loaned to RWD in Belgium and has barely played for them, which is a concern.

Both are young and could come good, but time is running out.

Heard from a couple of outlets that Ebiowei wasn't doing too well, Plange hasn't kicked on as hoped. Phillips was linked to a move - not sure if his contract is up. Pretty sure Phillips was highly rated enough.
Saw something about Balmer but can't remember what, and something about Ademorala recovering from a long term injury.
I guess our best prospect is Franca - along with Ozoh and Rak-Sakyi with a couple of others knocking on the door. Unfortunately, doesn't look like one will be Plange, we know Banks is going and Ebiowei is running out of chances. There are still a few however - like the wing back I can't remember right now. Plus Goodman in goal or Whitworth - both highly rated enough.

Im hoping once Franca has recovered from his Op, he will emerge as a fast learning future talent. He had injury issues on arrival. Just hope the boy gets a good recovery from this one. Must be very tough at his young age dealing with all this and learning the lingo.

It's such a fine line these days. Look at young Ferguson. Im assuming he is till in the background with us somewhere.

Good luck to them both.

Danny Imray is the wing back. Looks like he could be perfect cover for Munoz but of course the step up is big. Some players can step up levels seamlessly - like Wan Bissaka or Wharton from Championship to Premier League. Others can't - or it takes them time.

The answer is you never know until you try.

Rak Sakyi is running out of chances, especially if Franca comes good next year and looking at Sara from Norwich.
