Exactly. Weeds lose and we have top half within our grasp.

Come on you Blues!!

And United...

Two nil! A win against Villa and a draw for them and we finish above them

They need to lose and we win.
Or. They draw and we win by 2.
If they draw and we win by 1 they stay above us on goals scored!

I dont get this 'they have nothing to play for ' stuff so we will now win . I would have much rather faced a nervous must win Villa team that would have left gaps for us to exploit .

We do now though have the added incentive of getting into the top half of the table (who would have guessed eh?) so should be right up for it (think of the bonus lads even if you don't know where Brighton is )

COYP!

Very difficult one to call - more as it is hard to gauge which Villa side will turn up. My feeling is that they have virtually nothing to play for and the celebrations for getting to the champion league have begun so they might not be at their best. On the other hand their manager was quick to say the focus is on the Palace game just after the draw against Liverpool (though that was before they qualified for the champions league)
Expect their worn out players to be rested and some of the fringe players to come in which might actually help them.
I am going for a 2-2 draw but would not be surprised if we edged this 2-1.

Some Loon phoned in talksport and said Palace will be on the beach, even the presenters laughed at him saying where has he been the last few weeks? We’re on fire and apart from City we’re the least on the beach team in the division!! Definitely more chance of Villa slipping on the flip flops early now, we don’t want the season to end

Villa have clinched a place in the Champions League and have a very able coach.
However, how many of their players would get in our team on current form?
I would contend only Martinez, possibly McGinn /Tielemanns and Watkins.
Personally I would prefer our players in every other position , although a case could be made for Digne as a better wing back than Mitchell.
If we keep our present team together( and relatively injury free) there’s no reason why we couldn’t push for Europe next season.
These are two very big ‘If’s’ though.

They're a good side mate - I don't think it's a question of personnel. They have quality throughout. We seem to have managed to have squeezed blood out of a stone recently. Would you have rated these players the same earlier in the season? Other than perhaps Olise and Exe - and even they were even injured or off form. Villa have done well - spent a lot - but it doesn't change the fact that we should currently beat them. Just a question of timing I believe.

Its also a difference in tactics.

We now have a new formation that works, a high press that works and players that understand and have bought in to this new approach.

I think we are a match for any team now. Even Man city who played us a bit too soon into the new era.
