Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Never heard it called that before Ha ha, I also remember her 2 year old daughter nearly kicking the bedroom door down several times in the night, probably to warn us of the trees coming down outside, i think she told her top fcuk owf an go back to bed, always loved the posh birds!

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

It was a garden centre last time I saw it..... Many happy summer days spent there - but that deep bit in the middle under the diving boards was always bitterly cold compared to the rest of it, even on the hottest days. I think the garden centre went years ago. Loved going there in the summer, water always freezing. Changing rooms were used for football in the winter

Either there or the 'Orphanage' pool at Carew Manor - smaller and colder.

I am sure Kennards used to have live animals in there, Goats, Pigs, Chickens or maybe memory is not what it was.

Thanks for that, i wikipedied it to see if i was going round the bend, they had Donkey rides in the store which stopped in 1966, then as you rightly say then the Zoo opened until 1973.
