Mathers- I think you’ll be surprised how many points we’ll pick up between now and end of season. I know many fans are scratching around for the 40 points mark the way we’re playing but my money is on 50 points. When Zaha is back and Macarhur you’ll see the old Palace again and these horrid days will be forgotten. Having said that we need a massive injection in the summer. I’d like to see Conor Gallagher in our midfield for starters.

Edited for context Thank you for adding the additional text TGH but I feel the context remained intact as I’d summarised those parts in my previous paragraph. With or without the full quote, it remains apparent that Hodgson was talking about his approach to the game and what he expected to get out of it and nothing that happened during the game changed any of that.

I've no problem with hoping for a next level manager, but to hope for a champions league level one like Tuchel, pochettino, nanglesmann and now gerard is a little ridiculous. Benetiz has fallen from the top table it seems having accepted the Newcastle job, but he took that job as an ego trip rather than a recognition that his glory days were over, and for all his pedigree he just played anti football anyway. To clarify, I was replying to Gary St. Andrew who asked me who would be my choice. Nagelsmann is optimistic I agree but in no way do I see the Gerrard appointment being out of the question. I didn’t mention the other two. Benitez is well within our reach but I would prefer Thomas Frank or Scott Parker to Rafa.

I have been advocating Parker for some time. Working against us we have he is well paid and has an owner who is prepared to spend money when he is satisfied it will be wisely spent and lead to an improvement. Parker's inherited some expensive transfers signings who were not much use. Anguissa, Seri and Mawson all now loaned out. He also lost Sessegnon to Spurs. IMHO he has shown great managerial promise and fits in 100% with our South London background. I would be delighted to get him but if Fulham survive I think the chances are very small. Anguissa has been playing for Fulham of late,he started against us the other night, and is much improved from the player who first joined the club.

although they had seven loanees the other day when you compare Fulham's two performances v us this season the improvement has been massive - I think Parker's top of the wish list now.

He left Newcastle partly because he wasn't happy with his players being sold or bought without having a say so he is unlikely to want to come here and end up as assistant manager to Freedman and Parish

Netflix is better than most football now. Not a lot beats great football, but there isn’t ever much great football. Most matches have so much money at stake. Yep, Championship has all the excitement Premier league just has all the money.

I have never seen the chap before and I never interjected to get involved in the debate!!

Southampton, in many respects helped the careers of both ,potch and Koeman,. They both found them selves working for a well organised club , superb facilities. And astute, transfer policy.

So, you live on the south coast and whilst socially distancing you just happened to come across a guy chatting to himself about Freedman being the next boss. That story sounds just as fanciful as some of the other managerial nominations.

Fulham have one outfield player injured in Tom Cairney, we have and seem to always have a little more problems in this department lol

The tide was way out and there were a few people taking a stroll on the sand socially-distanced, some walking their dogs. Edited by Willo (02 Mar 2021 9.18am)
