Against Croydon Athletic,Chatham Town had in their ranks Luke Rooney whose clubs include Gillingham,Swindon,Crawley Town and Luton. I saw Chatham Town play in the FA Cup in early September when they had Paul Hayes playing up front and he has also played for a number of league clubs.Rooney played in that game as well.

Here at AFC Croydon Athletic, we’re all fans of our canine friends. That’s why we have designated our next home game (Sat 2nd April vs Farnham Town) our inaugural ‘Non-League Dogs Day.’ We have enjoyed seeing various dogs down at the Mayfield Stadium over the years. Perhaps the current favourite is club mascot Rosie (pictured above). She attends each and every game and relishes the fuss she receives! To celebrate our four-legged friends, one adult owner with their dog will gain free entry to the game. Dog treats will be available in the clubhouse. We look forward to welcoming humans/dogs alike on Saturday 2nd April.

Tomorrow night sees an FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round at the Mayfield Stadium (CR7 6DN). The Rams led twice at Peacehaven on Saturday and were seconds away from progressing - a choker of a penalty in the last minute of stoppage time saw it finish 2-2. It’s bound to be a great encounter tomorrow evening. Cash and card accepted on the turnstile and at the bar/kitchen. Fridges stocked with Cronx larger. Come on down to support the Rams!
