It was a red card when Sakho did it against Bournemouth last season... To be fair, they were different instances. Sakho actually won the ball in his challenge.

That yellow looked harsh for McCarthy.... on the replay he had started to turn the lead leg away as soon as he realised he wouldn't get the ball.
