Hope this brings the whole 3 defensive midfielders to an end and we start playing Eze in behind a striker. Probably just end up playing left back all game when he’s stuck on the wing.

We know how it works At least it looks like we have put a bid in, and obviously we will come back with a higher bid. WetSpam have a lot of players going forward, and it's already rumoured they will have to sell before they buy. I am a foolish optimist but I think this one might come off!

£16m actually sounds fairly reasonable, given that if he performs even at par as a Premier League midfielder he'd be worth at least that in 4 years. If he does well he'll be worth at least double it given homegrown status. Promising, young player from the Championship. Struggling to think of a less typical Palace signing. Before Ferguson... Dwight Gayle the last one?

But they would still have to find £15m, and it's not obvious where he would play for them as they are already overloaded with playmakers....

It's been reported in a few places that although West Ham are keen on Eze they have to sell first to raise funds so looks like we are going in early before they can do that.
