Is Cahill our best ever centre back?

Yes Cannon and Gilbert were great...but we have had some great pairings..My first few matches were McComack and Blythe as centre halfs' great paring Thorn and Ninja .....We have also had players like Craig Moore etc at centre half and others !!

Thorn and Young ! There used to be a travel agents at Crystal Palace called 'Thorn and Young' owned by erstwhile Director of our club Aggie D'Souza.

Damien Delaney deserves a mention. Brilliant in our promotion season and the first 2-3 seasons back in the premier league. Great defender and popped up with the odd goal, the only man I saw to have Costa in his pocket. Formed a great partnership with Dann. Not saying he's our best ever centre back but gave great service to the club and didn't cost anything. A palace legend imo. The Ninja's headband alone was better than most of today's pansy centre backs.
