spot on my son, some Alan Aykborn plays have some of that quality you appreciate, I'd add Leonard Rossiter for rising damp and reggie perrin, the likely lads has lost a bit with age but was aiming high, and porridge as you say is pure gold, I cud watcher barker and Beckinsale or rigsby and miss jones all day long, but peep show and the inbetweeners are classic tv, there are some great comics now too but they are getting a bit long in the tooth the mertons, the murrays and the reeves's

they've been showing Reg starring as a drag act in 'The Best Pair of Legs in the Business' on freeview lately, one of those films that's so bad it's good, willam shatner level, gob smackingly awful but utterly compelling
