Some awful pens in this shootout. I'm very confident we will make the final after beating Colombia. We will just have to be very very lucky against France/Brazil in the final.

Depends if England players REALLY want success that much and are capable of stepping up to plate in games of such importance henceforth with. Whilst most of the favourites have now been sent home, the draw to the final has at least been generous to England however all other teams will be fancying their chances in the qualifiers. Can't help but feel that England need to press for victory during 90mins as penalty route seems to be bedevilling the stronger teams. Southgate absolutely right to keep team expectations measured- I hope that the training behind the scenes includes psychological input and not just physical & strategic.

They scraped through their group in the first place using the same tactics. They've got B teams in Spain but no plan B.
