"Loftus-Cheek trained fully with Chelsea’s under-23s at Cobham on Monday and, with a couple of follow-up sessions pencilled in, was due to return to Palace on Saturday with a view to working with the first team next week. However, he suffered knee pain immediately after that first run-out and, although the injury is considered to be a knock-on from his lengthy period out, his comeback has been delayed again."

All very well but players have been out for a while and we shouldn't expect them to slot back in seamlessly and start to perform to the standards they have set with us.

It could take a few games before they are fully 'Match fit' and games are running out.Besides there is always the possibility that they could pick up further injuries.

I know that supporters wish to cling to the belief that all will be well when the players return but one has to be realistic about the situation.

It must be a miserable time for you Willo when you don't have one positive bone in your body? Life is too short mate, lighten up ffs, we are Palace.

Well he wouldn't be ready for United anyway and he'd be ineligible against Chelsea, so that shouldn't change much.

Hope we destroy Huddersfield with this lot.

We're not the only ones to have had our fingers burned with crocked loanees. See Slimani at Newcastle and Sturridge at West Brom for example. Anyway, a fully-fit RLC adds some mobility and creativity to our midfield, and at the very least would offer an option from the bench if he can't do 90 minutes. To be honest I keep forgetting we even have him for the season. Hopefully his desire to make the England squad will see him come back with fire in his belly.

When you look at the players we could have back for the run in it does add some hope.

That
TFM Tomkins Sakho PvA

Townsend Luka Cabaye Zaha

RLC
Sorloth

Bench: new GK, Ward, Kelly, Schlupp, McArthur, Bentenke [/
That looks a much more dynamic Palace squad that should be able to string a few points together. However, we stil have to get through the March fisxtures that include Manure Chelsea and Liverpool. If we could be on 30 points or so by the end of March, I would fancy our chances of surviving.

We will survive, but we will do it the Palace way. That is to say, in a couple games we will be looking down and out, but then our crocked players will start returning, crush Huddersfield, another famous victory against the scousers, before a run up the table finishing in 12th spot.

You gotta be kidding.....

He will get injured again putting his socks on

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Yeah.. Im going to be over the moon when Wickham comes back... he was so prolific when fit. Im much more excited about sorloth, tbh.

As for the rest genuinely can't wait to see them return.

I just ignore him as much as possible and my HOL experience is miles better for it.

Seems as if he wants to play again from reading the news on this site which is great.
We might even have a full and fit team soon!

Huddersfield will kick lumps out of a few although I think Dean is a better ref than Moss and so they might not get away with it so easily this time.
