That was at home and we drew?
Otherwise, absolutely

We beat Arsenal at Highbury in 1970 in the league cup 2 - 0. Bobby Tambling and Gerry Queen the scorers. I think Arsenal were top of the league at the time. They won the title and the FA cup that season and if i remember correctly we were the only team to beat them at Highbury that season.

Been to Anfield twice seen 14 goals and my team haven't scored any

I dont remember that. Im sure you are right. All I do know is that I never saw us get a point at Highbury despite visiting the clock end on a number of occasions and watching us get thumped!!
I do remember our famous win at the Bridge though in the FA cup 3-2?.
We were the other end of the pitch in those days.
Compared with our amazing result on Saturday.
My memory is so hazy.

I seem to remember this fact being bandied around in recent times. I suspect that your suspicion is correct; this is a first.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Hi All,

Yes, I have always enjoyed asking Arsenal fans that when they won the double in '71, who stopped them from winning the treble.
But I am afraid that I win train spotter of the year award by knowing that Arsenal were not top of the league at the time of the match and that yes, as far as I can think of, last Saturday was a first for the club.
That was a really good question, and something that I would never have thought of!

I was at that game and just like Saturday at Chelsea the ball was in our penalty area for 85 minutes. Made it all the more satisfying.

I am determined to live until I am as old as I look.
