The rot set in last year, abysmal league record, transfers were so imbalanced leaving squad thin, worst full backs in the league, boys club for the coaching staff (i worried for andy woodman every time he had to move, great advert for a coach), cup run saved pardew and we used a lot of luck away to spurs that day.

And before you start im a season ticket holder who does 300 miles to go to a home game, I've missed a couple for sure but my last league victory witnessed...qpr at home in march 2015.

We're gonners now, who the f*** would want to come to us.

So who's fault is it? A new manager who has been in the job for little over a month?

There are 2 reasons Pardew had a job with us until December...a benevolent chairman and an FA Cup final.
I'd swap that FA Cup final defeat and a new manager brought in during the summer for mid table obscurity right now.
Wouldn't you?

Any Palace fan could see that we played pretty decent football under Pardew and the results were not a fair reflection of the performances. We were shafted with a bizarre run of bad ref decisions against us and being edged out of games by 1 goal.

Do you think Palace have improved or got worse since Alladyce arrived? If worse, who's fault is that?

And actually no I wouldn't swap where we are for mid table obscurity because it's boring. At least it's exciting now.

'Pretty decent football'.
What do you mean by that exactly?

That 'pretty decent football' where we lost a lot more than we won, has gotten us in the position that we find ourselves in today.

I honestly don't see how anyone but the most blinkered Pardew fan can see that.

But it wasn't pretty decent. It was pretty but awful. Look at the results for an entire year. We performed badly in the league for a year before Sam took over. You could see the confidence drain slowly out of the players: likewise their ability to defend declined, then collapsed. It took Sam about a dozen games to get results going in the right direction last year at Sunderland. I actually think the rot was so bad it will take him longer here.

By the way, I didn't want AP and supported him until Swansea, and I didn't want Sam. But, today, for the first time in months, the team actually looked like it was organized and people knew their role: even with a new formation. That seems like progress to me.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Everton just smashed Man City and looked like a side in form.

For me, Allardyce is insisting the team knows how to defend and u suspect is ignoring attacking work (somewhat) until we do.

We were unlucky that Schlupp got cramp. Maybe if he'd not, we'd be thinking how amazing it was we got a clean sheet against a top side. And then we can start feeling more confident knowing we can hold teams at bay.

Keep focusing on the past and we've had it. You win as a team and you lose as one. Who's fault it is right now is irrelevant, it's time to move on.

And I agree with that for the most part.
However, there are more than a fair few Palace fans that need reminding that the recent past has left us in the position we find ourselves in today.

I hated you when you played for us. Apart from that goal.
You've walked away with a £3m pay off for being a useless pock-marked face c***.
Hope you enjoy it but I hate you even more now.

You pock-marked face c***!

I agree with these "sentiments"

We were NEVER in the relegation zone under Pardew. Allardyce has already caused Palace to be booed off at halftime for the first time since we got promoted. And also taken us into the relegation zone for the first time this season. Pardew never did either of those things. Last 5 league games under fat prick conceded 9 scored 2. Against West Ham, Arsenal, Swansea, Everton and Watford. 1 point. And Negative, defensive football. Pardews last 5 games scored 11 conceded 11 4 points. Attacking, exciting football. Against Chelsea, Man United, Southampton, Swansea and Hull City.

So if its all Pardews fault why is Allardyces record worse than Pardews?

may as well blame holloway for getting us promoted.
Fact is we look worse now then when pardew was sacked, that's not his fault

Sorry but you are really very wrong, the team that SA currently has is the legacy of AP, you seem to forget AP and the team was the worst performing team in the entire football league in 2016. So far SA has been able to bring in one new player in this very difficult window and he needs all our support and encouragement if we are to stand any chance of staying up. Pardew was a terrible Manager for this club, he in 12 months virtually destroyed a very good defensive team with 32 points at Christmas time last year to a team that secured only 11 points in the remainder of that season. However, poor SP allowed his emotions to rule his head based on a cup final and really believed AP bulls*** that he was a top six manager heading for Europe and SP gave him the biggest cheque in the history of CP to spend on players and all he did was bring in his mates and no hopers some of whom had sick notes when they arrived and most if not all could not get regular first team football at their previous clubs because they were not considered to be up to the required standard or past their sell by date. That is where the problems came from and poor Sam now has to now try and clear up the mess !

Still can't believe I have to repeat this...6 league wins in 2016.

We only avoided relegation last season because we had a good first half of that season.

Pardew has left a mess that could f*** us up for quite a few seasons to come and I'm amazed that there are more than a few that still can't or won't see that.
