I was looking through some old 1960s programmes this morning and my attention was drawn to some youth team players who got a taste of 1st team football but never really established themselves.

From that era Paul Cutler, Danny Light, Jim Oliver, Frank Parsons (goalkeeper)all made a few first team appearances but never became regulars and ended up moving on.

Are there any other names of youth team graduates you recall who got a brief taste of first team football at Palace, but are now largely forgotten?

Rory Ginty. Was he one of our products?
I remember him being this young winger who had real potential but then went off the radar.

I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like.

Another one from the 60s was Billy Stack - he made just a couple of 1st team appearances.

Gareth Graham. Ginger haired captain of the Youth Team, really good player, suffered a terrible injury ust at the age he would have broken through

Jamie Moralee - he was prolific for the reserves alongside Collymore but never played much for the 1st team. Think he had a bried lower league career, now makes a small fortune as an agent

David Whyte scored loads for the Clowns; Jamie Moralee had at least one very good season for Millwall.

Anyone know where Lee Hills is now - last I remember was Stevenage.

I know Gareth and spoke to him earlier in the season. He is coaching at Croydon Athletic who play in the 'Southern Counties East League'.Prior to joining Croydon Athletic he was at Lingfield for a few seasons both as a player and coach.
