I think I'd rather take back Akinbiyi than have bendtner. The interesting things is that he has. His goalscoring record in international football is outstanding. But he has never replicated it at club level, beyond being roughly a 10-goals a season man. However, it is also true that he never really settled into, bedded down, and been "loved" by a club; given the support and understanding that some people need to flourish. His international record suggests that there's a chance -- just a chance -- that in the right environment, where he had that love and support, he might just be a very good player indeed. Do I want us to sign Bendtner? No. Frankly, he wouldn't be my first choice. But I would not dismiss him quite as easily as you do.

I'm hoping it's all a smokescreen and we're holding out for Remy.....which if happens will be on the last day at the eleventh hour when dear old Chelsea have, after protracted negotiations, got Pato in. If not I'd prefer (1) Crouch on loan to fill a gap till the season ends (2) Adebayor on a pay as you play contract (max 1 year) (3) no one. Edited by fledgling (22 Jan 2016 4.42pm)
