Give him whatever he wants for a short-term deal. If he wants more money in exchange for giving up on a long-term deal, then do it. Europa League is still a possibility; I'd rather try Adebayor than do nothing. Nobody is going to sell Palace a notable striker. They're just not. It's Ade or it's nothing.

The thought of Zaha Bolasie and Adebayor does interest me though.

You'd think as a money grabbing mercenary barsteward he'd jump at the chance to show what he's capable of and negotiate a deal on the basis of his results. Now where did we encounter something like that before ...Mr Pulis?

I can believe that Adebayor is in Croydon. But believe that you've got a mate? That's really stretching it. :-)
On a serious note, the signing deadline to play on a Saturday is Friday lunchtime if I'm not mistaken so these deals usually tend to happen on Thursday or Friday morning as teams try to finalise things so players are available for the weekend.

At best it would be the FA cup game. Even if he did sign before 12 Friday he would need international clearance which can take up to a week.

Why would he need International clearance for an internal free transfer, you only need International clearance for International transfers to make sure that there is no outstanding issues, and as Adebayor was registered with Spurs his registration is with the FA.
Also International clearance except at weekends is usually within 24hrs, unless there are underlying problems with a players registration, only possible issue would be Work and Residence permits, and as he has been a permanent resident in the UK for 10 years, and an EU resident since 1999, under EU law that would be automatically renewed and permanent after 7 years.

Today's Addy reports Pards as saying that if he could handle Ben Arfa he could handle Adebayor. I rather thought the issue was that he didn't do a very good job of handling Ben Arfa at all.

Given that he had him as a player for several seasons before Ben Arfa threw his toys out of his prom, I'd say he did quite well. Don't forget, Pardew was the manager when the club converted his loan to a permanent move, and before Pardew arrived he'd hardly played for Newcastle due to injuries.
Whether that translates to handling Adebayor, is another matter.
If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

For what it's worth, a bloke on FB (yes, I know) said today: "Ade[bayor] is all but done. Just working out % of wages to Spurs. He's better than what we have right now, is available, and will score goals."
Someone commented about the Spurs game and the bloke said: "Sadly won't be done by Saturday"
I have no idea what this bloke's credentials are, or how true this is, but hey, it's transfer window time and I might as well chuck it into the mix

Spurs are still paying him £100k a week. I read somewhere that the deal is dependant on Spurs approval and they won't give that until after we play them. Its a strange one as technically he is not a free agent but doesn't have a contract either. I guess anyone that gets him before June (when spurs stop paying him) will have to come to some arrangement with Spurs. Just my opinion. Lets see
