Surely Jules can move upstairs (unless he wants to play regular football somewhere else). Damo should be offered a new contract and the other 3, well it all depends if we replace them in the summer. Chamakh is a decent player but will he want to stay as a bit part player/ will he break into the first team more regularly?

More to the point, I suspect Chamakh is one of our highest earners and is not performing at a level commensurate with his salary. He probably has a contract based on the expectation that he'll be first choice number 9 and score 12-15 goals a season so we're not getting a very good return for our investment whether we like him as a player or not.

So those players at Palace can do if they wish. Quite easy to understand - no tosh or bilge about it.

Only one who'd really impact the club (as it stands) is Hangeland, and I'd hope we're looking at replacements (whether that be converting Kelly or someone from elsewhere). Jules, Mariappa, Chamakh don't play (Chamakh looks horribly off the pace since his return, too)

Pure Speculation from the Advertiser and no quotes from the club. Can the Advertiser confirm that these players have been given permission to talk to other clubs or is it a suggestion that they might be looking to leave?

The players mentioned, we know have their contracts running out. The Telegraph have also done a piece on players available at other clubs. These players have deals which run out this summer, therefore are now allowed to speak to other clubs. They don't need permission.
