Who would you say we hate as local rivals? It was Brighton but if they go down to L1 we're unlikely to see each other for quite a while.. It's quite arrogant to take the attitude 'we're unlikely to see each other for quite a while'. Palace are hardly PL certainties for the next few seasons. I don't think Brighton will get relegated. How many would like the idea of Brighton & Millwall both being in the PL (as long us were're there) so we can play them every season? Very happy with the idea of a Premiership derby against BHA. Oh god no! I never want them to ever grace the PL and I'd prefer it if we didn't go down. They already think that a team, like Brentford, taking a trip to the Amex is like a cup final for them - whereas we loved going to Dover. Can you imagine how the deluded muppets would be, comparing stadiums and suggesting they should be in Europe, talking about the champions league and comparing themselves to the biggest clubs in Europe. They would be truly unbearable. They'd start looking at gates, suggesting how 'big' Bri***on are, suggesting that relegation should be scrapped (like Gartside did) - it would be bloody horrific and they'd be a nightmare. They're already getting a reputation for arrogance but for them to get to the PL would be horrible, truly, truly horrible.

Absolutely right, I don't ever want them to have PL on their CV; they have to drone about stadiums and attendance figures because that's all they have and long may it continue.

Brighton. Full stop. That said, I remember seeing a poll of various sets of football fans a few years back where AFC Wimbledon supporters declared that we were their chief rivals, and I was just, 'Uh-huh... Yeah... Say, who are you again'?

I was born in 76. The Brighton rivalry is lost on me. For some reason palace fans even younger than me treat Brighton as rivals. Millwall yes. Charlton no but after they were doing the conga when we drew at the valley but got relegated...I despise them. So personally I treat them as a rival. And I have a hatred for man utd and always want palace to get stuck into them.

Never understood why we don't play Brighton as a standard pre-season game every year. Would attract a crowd much larger than the average friendly and would remove the need for them to get promoted in order to play us. Suspect the police may have something to do with this not happening.
