Lots of great moments, some of which have become a blur

After Sunderland & Newcastle people starting to bemoan where our next points would come from. Next game was Chelsea at home, a favourite not just because we won but because we didnt just nick it, we deserved the win.

Gayle scoring v Villa, as big an influence on our season as anything, out of the bottom 3.

Liverpool at home, a nothing game, we were safe, they had everything to play for and at 0-3 looked comfortable. The spirit we showed to come back bodes well for next season, it took me days to stop smiling

Being at uni I thought i'd miss all the good stuff about this season, but

First win against Sunderland was great, a lovely sunny day and first win for 8 years in the prem. Glad we got one under holloway as well, i'll forever be grateful to him for getting us up.

Old trafford was good, first time i'd been there and although we didnt do anything particularly inspiring the songs were funny and it was just a good dAY

Villa on Boxing day was a real turning point, we'd won a couple at home and this game was sandwiched in between chels, city, spurs, arsenal away. Had we lost that game then we could have had a dreadful away record that could have become a bit of a voodoo that lasted the season. I said to my dad about a minute before we scored that a point would be brilliant and much needed as sunderland were beating eveerton. Then a last minute winner from outtsied the box away from home is always gonna be one of the moments of the season, watching my dAD clamber over the seats to get to the front was pretty funny too.

Came down for chelsea at home as well, fantastic game, so glad i was there for that. Moment of the season for me.

Villa at home was also pretty good, that sealed safety for me, i thought 34 would be enough to stay up this season so when we got to 37 pts and in midtable, looking at the fixtures we were definitely safe.

I thought I had been really lucky in terms of going to all the big games, then i had to watch Crystanbul on some sh1tty stream (sorry staffie, my laptop's fault). But can't complain really

January Transfer Deadline Day.

At the start of that day we knew we had a manager capable of keeping us up and we knew we had players prepared to run through the proverbial brick wall for the cause. But we didn't know (and some of us -- me included -- doubted) whether we had owners who would support the manager and do what was necessary to take us over the top.

That was the night, for me, that proved the fact that we were being transformed from another regular bottom-feeder/yo-yo club into, if within its means, a club with an appetite to properly grow and move up and improve. In signing Hennessey, Ledley, Ince and Dann we brought in players the manager genuinely wanted, and "proper" players at that (no Eliot Grandin's in the January haul). Those four were capable of being part of the backbone of a genuine Premiership side.

I was very active (and critical) in posting here in the January window for the good reason that I felt we were at a pivot point and how we acted in response to Pulis' requests for new players would go a long way to determining how we fared over the next decade or longer. After January, my participation in posting here slowed notably in the main because once that window shut, I honestly never felt we wouldn't survive. Sure, I bit my nails until we were mathematically safe but from February onwards, I was entirely confident we would stay up.

There were more dramatic moments this season -- like Liverpool -- but none better. I went to bed that night supporting a different team than the one I had woken up to that morning. It was possibly the first time in 44 years at Palace that I thought we genuinely belonged in the Premiership...from the owners to the manager to the players and on down.

I commented on this thread earlier about west ham, but if I had to pick my favourite moment, Chelsea at home, the atmosphere was out of this world, and I left that game knowing we would stay up!
