I know people will have a go but I think Dowie was one of the best managers we have ever had. And for the record I dont think it was all Dowies fault he left. Id have him back tommorrow

Coppell is first for the period he got us to the FA Cup final and 3rd in the league and second for the time he kept us up with a load of kids. He also gets a Palace lifetime achievement award for his services as an undercover agent and relegating Brighton as well f*cking Bristol City about this year. Dowie was a short term motivator and long term useless manager.. and now a very ugly and tongue tied football pundit. Mullery was our worst ever managerial appointment.

Coppell is probably top of my list. Under him we had our best placing in the top flight ( and would have been in Europe but for the ban) and our only FA Cup final appearance. Bert Head deserves a mention - the first manager to get us into the old first division. Okay, later on his insistence on relying on aged Scotsmen to fill the team didn't pay dividends, but we did stay in Div.1 for 4 seasons.
